New Volunteers
(11/13/2006)

Based on the available web signup information, it appears that almost 40 new volunteers have joined the AUSD effort since Old Fashion Days on 10/28. This is a huge increase over our approximately 50 volunteers from two and a half weeks ago!

Our thanks go to each of our new volunteers for having taken the important step to join us in what some at the national level call the "key civil rights challenge of our generation". For us locally, it is simply the obvious follow-through on our fundamental hypothesis, which is that consistently high, all-subjects academic proficiency for all is bound by neither race or income, but by bringing education's very repeatable Best Practices home to Altadena.
